Emma Ortiz is an artist born and based in Miami. With a deep awareness of the present moment and creating work intuitively, Emma uses oil paint to tell stories of mood, connection and trusting yourself.
We worked with Emma to bring our wine project Jazzmine to life.
Working on this project brought out a certain physicality to Emma’s practice that she hadn’t previously explored. Her starting point is always traditional painting but before she could catch herself she was cutting up the canvas and rearranging the pieces which brought about these Rosettes.
